Tiffin Studio is a very tiny design studio based in Seattle, Washington. The studio is led by me – Ada Ko. I have over 20 years of experience bringing products and brands to life through design. I provide branding, graphic design, product design + development, and creative strategy consulting to companies and individuals who are looking to get their ideas off the page and into the world. I specialize in working with small product-based companies and startups but love working with all types of businesses.
How I Work
At big design and branding agencies, projects can take months or years. This makes a lot of sense with larger, more complex and mature companies. But not here – I like to work with a ‘done well, quickly’ mindset, meaning I respect the fast-paced nature of small businesses and make the most of an abbreviated timeframe. I know what it’s like to be a small business owner, and I’ll sweat the details with and for you because I know that you value quality work but probably needed it done yesterday. Depending on the scope of work needed and how that syncs to our schedule, project completion timeframes can be anywhere from a few short days to a month.
This also means that you and I need to work in sync to keep the process running efficiently, set and manage reasonable expectations, and have candid conversations about additions to project scope.
Services + Pricing
I don’t have a set service package or minimum cost as each client has different needs. Big presentation coming up next week? Hoping to refresh your look in the new year? Need help spiffying up a product catalog? Want some advice on color palettes? Let us know what you hope for and I’ll figure out how to help.
Design fees are $200/hour for small business clients, and this will be reflected in the program pricing options that are shared with you after an initial conversation. In general, a brand visual design ‘quick start’ program includes a logo, type+color specs, and print+digital example mockups. These start at $4000.
Retainer fees include a 15% discount on hourly rates – I’ll guarantee a set number of work hours per month for at least 3 months, and I’ll act as your in-house design lead / CD during that time.
