Hi, I’m Ada! I’m a designer and creative director with an entrepreneurial bent.

I started my first business at the age of 7 with my childhood best friend, mixing and selling perfumes out of a Little Tykes playhouse. Not long after that, I started a business selling handmade Sculpey animals to my neighbors. In high school, I designed our senior class magazine, school ID cards, and a lot of logos. My first ‘big’ freelance project was working on a Yum! Brands corporate brochure out of my tiny high school bedroom in Hong Kong.

Since then, I’ve been leading the creative side of new business ventures – developing products and brands, building design teams – as well as informing or driving other necessary functions like marketing, operations and logistics. I lead Tiffin Studio, meaning I am the primary designer, and I’ll pull in talented friends or other designers to support me when needed.

I thrive in bootstrapped environments, where ‘done well, yesterday’ is what’s needed to give new products and business ideas a fighting chance in the world. I’ve honed a variety of skills and interests that have proven invaluable in entrepreneurial contexts: product & packaging design, illustration, graphic & UX/UI design, sculpture, making useful spreadsheets, photography & styling, operating a cherry picker, copywriting & naming, and cat whispering. I am keen to pick up new skills and love evolving from ‘pretty terrible’ to ‘pretty competent.’
